Wedding Guide

Congratulations on your engagement! As you are planning your wedding, the most important thing you can do as a couple is to prepare for your marriage. Our process will help you prepare, not just for an event, but for the rest of your lives together!

Should you have any questions after reviewing the page, please contact our team at marriedpeople@christfellowship.church.

Next Steps

Step 1: Complete the Wedding Inquiry Form

Provide general information on your wedding plans, and our Wedding Coordinator will follow up with details regarding available venues, pastors, and dates. Prices vary based on the venue and services requested. If you would like to request a Christ Fellowship pastor to officiate your wedding at an offsite location, our Wedding Coordinator will connect to provide information regarding availability and fees.

Step 2: Register for a Before You Say I Do Class
Every couple completes the Before You Say I Do class when they plan to be married by a Christ Fellowship pastor - whether you plan to be married at one of the Christ Fellowship venues or at an offsite location.

This fun, interactive 6-week class focuses on what the Bible says about having a healthy marriage. Topics include: compatibility, communication, conflict, finances, in-laws, and developing spiritual and sexual intimacy. There is a $50 fee for participant manuals and the SYMBIS online marriage assessment. By completing the class, you may also receive a discount on your marriage license.

Classes are offered periodically throughout the year and fill quickly. Please register for open classes or let your campus team know of your interest using the Christ Fellowship Class Finder as soon as possible.

Step 3: Plan Your Wedding
Once you complete the Before You Say I Do Class, the Wedding Coordinator will connect you with a Christ Fellowship pastor who will meet with you to get to know you and hear more about the plans for your wedding.

FAQs

Are there premarital requirements to get married at Christ Fellowship?

Whether you are requesting a Christ Fellowship pastor to officiate a wedding at a local venue or considering a wedding at one of our church locations, all couples must complete the “Before You Say I Do” class and the online SYMBIS assessment in order to be married by a Christ Fellowship pastor.

Who can officiate my wedding?

A Christ Fellowship pastor will serve as the officiant for all wedding ceremonies held at our church locations. The Wedding Coordinator can assist you in selecting a pastor from our staff to officiate your wedding.

The pastor will meet with you prior to the ceremony to review the marriage assessment each couple takes during the pre-marriage class and also plan the ceremony. If you would like to include a pastor from an outside church or ministry in your ceremony, the Christ Fellowship pastor will serve as the primary officiant and coordinate details on the role of the second pastor.

What is included in the Wedding Fees at Christ Fellowship?

Wedding Fees include the Wedding Rehearsal as well as the Ceremony and are based upon the location and services requested. Christ Fellowship does not offer facilities for wedding receptions.

A Campus or Trinity Auditorium Wedding includes the following staffing:

  • Wedding Coordinator
  • Officiating Pastor
  • Media Support
  • Facilities Support

A Trinity Chapel Wedding includes all of the staff support listed above with the exception of Media Support.

Christ Fellowship pastors who serve as wedding officiants for off-site weddings receive an officiant fee.

How do we reserve a location/date and pay wedding fees?

Weddings at a Christ Fellowship Location:
The Wedding Coordinator will review the church calendar to help determine an available location and date. A link will be provided via email for payment of a non-refundable $100 deposit to hold the location and secure the officiating pastor for the rehearsal and wedding. The location/date are not guaranteed until the deposit is received.

The link will also be used to make the final payment (due no later than 2 weeks prior to the wedding date). Christ Fellowship reserves the right to cancel ceremonies for which final payment has not been received prior to this deadline. If the wedding is canceled, all monies will be refunded except the $100 deposit.

Off-Site Weddings:
If a Christ Fellowship pastor is requested to officiate an off-site wedding, the fee will be based on proximity to the pastor's home campus. Distances beyond two hours would be an exception and may require additional fees to cover travel costs. A link will be provided via email for payment of a non-refundable $50 deposit to schedule the Christ Fellowship officiant. Final payment is due two weeks prior to the wedding date.
